The actor Vivek Oberoi recalls the incident in which he had three separate leg breaks while filming Mani Ratnam's 2004 picture "Yuva." The actor revealed in a recent interview that his "big brother"

Ajay Devgn and "buddy" Abhishek Bachchan supported him during the trying time. "A fantastic day of fun became painful when I was in a horrible motorbike accident that broke my left leg in three places.

"I recall my friend Abhishek and big brother Ajay being by my side during the ordeal of broken bones ripping through my skin and blood all over the place," Oberoi told Times Now.

The actor further disclosed that "Yuva" director Mani Ratnam suffered a heart attack upon seeing his wound. Oberoi went on, "It might become worse. It was after seeing my accident that I discovered Mani Anna had suffered a heart attack."

Nevertheless, Ajay and Abhishek kept him smiling. "Whilst both of us were recovering in the hospital, Ajay and Abhishek were with me, lifting my spirits with jokes and painkillers in a not-so-lucid state," Vivek recalled. It took the actor four months to heal from his wounds.

He hobbled back to the movie site to film the scenes for the songs "Fanaa" and "Anjaana Anjaani." Four months later, after a lot of issues, it seemed like a reunion on the sets.

While I hobbled through filming the songs Fanaa and Anjana Anjani, the entire unit cheered me on. I often marvel how we managed to pull it off," he said.

'Yuva' was well-received by critics upon its premiere. For his portrayal of wannabe don Lallan Singh in the movie, Abhishek Bachchan received the highest accolades. The movie marked the end of its 20-year run on May 21, 2024.
