According to authorities, a guy was detained in the Bharuch region of Gujarat on suspicion of espionage for a Pakistani intelligence organization.

Pravin Mishra, a native of Ankleshwar, Bharuch, is charged with providing Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) with secret data regarding the Indian Armed Forces and defense research companies.

As per the Gujarat Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Mishra was duped by an ISI agent who pretended to be Sonal Garg, an IBM Chandigarh employee, and set up a "honey trap" for her.

The Pakistani agent targeted and trapped Mishra using a fictitious Facebook ID belonging to Sonal Garg and an Indian WhatsApp number.

According to CID ADGP Rajkumar Pandian, "she honey-trapped one Pravin Mishra, who worked in Hyderabad in an organization which in turn worked with DRDO." The woman got Pravin Mishra to get the country's defence-related data... Pravin Mishra provided some important information," he said.

According to Pandian, the data contained information about drones produced by the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO). It has also been stated that the ISI agent tried to infect Mishra's office system with malware.

After receiving information on attempts to attack active or retired members of the Armed Forces, the DRDO, Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), and individuals working on missile system development,

Military Intelligence in Udhampur tipped off authorities, initiating the investigation. Mishra, the Pakistani agent going by the phony identity "Sonal Garg," and any Indian officials who might have been complicit in the plot have all been charged.
