The official "Salaar" X (formerly Twitter) page responded to the rumors by posting a picture of Prashanth and Prabhas taken at the location of the shoot. "They can't stop laughing," is how they captioned the picture. #PrashanthNeel #Prabhas #Salaar (sic)." The "Salaar" producing company, Hombale Films, reposted it.
Salaar 2 has reportedly been postponed because Prashanth Neel is currently preoccupied with his next movie with Jr. NTR. He is slated to begin production on the picture later this year, and he is already working on the script.
Prashanth Neel will begin "Salaar 2" alongside Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran after finishing his project with Jr. NTR. In multiple interviews, the actors and director have discussed the sequel and expressed their excitement at working together once more.
Prabhas previously stated, "The story is already ready, and we are going to start very soon, aiming to deliver the film as soon as possible for the audiences," in an exclusive interview with IndiaToday.in. Both audiences and critics were overwhelmingly supportive of "Salaar: Part 1-Ceasefire." All languages together, the movie brought in about Rs 700 crore worldwide.
Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Sriya Reddy, Jagapathi Babu, Bobby Simha, and Shruti Haasan play important parts in the historical action drama. The film, which is produced by Hombale Films, features editing by Ujwal Kulkarni, cinematography by Bhvan Gowda, and music by Ravi Basrur.
